The Bureau of Labor statistics projects a 10 percent growth rate for the decade which gives this job market a rating of about as fast as average for any occupation.  It is certainly a favorable job market.  The median annual income of an aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical engineer as of May 2008 was $92,520.
